The owner has a very profound passion for his work and will break down the cost for service in a way that is sensible. The turn around is fast, knives and axes come back incredibly sharp. This knife was my first Japanese kitchen knife, and has honestly stunned me with its performance. Working as a cook, our in-house knives just weren't cutting it - pun intended. I decided after long debate to invest in a decent knife, I did some research and it seemed to me that Kakushin was my best option.Through my first week and a bit of using this knife all day in a professional kitchen it has held its edge nicely and feels great in the hand. I will not be going back to our in-house knives thats for sure!I can tell you with all certainty I was not disappointed. Best customer service I have ever seen in a company, they're very quick with responding to emails and very knowledgeable about they're products. My new Japanese knife has just arrived!The price was good… the shipping was very fast (one and half days). Shipping faster than the speed of light. Ordered my new yamada wok (very rare and hard to find in the US) over the weekend and they shipped it out Monday morning.
